March totals


** Posting while on my wedding/honeymoon/best vacation ever. Technology.**

Only 11 days late. I'm putting my whole day-by-day workouts in these posts so the Interwebz can save them forever and so my "Workout Log" tab doesn't get annoyingly long.

March
March 1: off!
March 2: tmill- 3 miles @ 6.8, 1 mi @ 7.0, 0.25 @ 8.0, plus cooldown. 4.5 total 39:57
March 3: 60 minutes on the trainer. Let's call it 15 miles.
March 4: tmill- first 2 miles stepping up every 0.4 from 6.2, 3rd mile up every 0.2 from 6.3, 4th mile up every 0.1 from 6.4. 4.25 total, 39:45ish
March 5: outside, 4 miles, 33:34, 8:23 pace
March 6: 45 minutes elliptical plus weights
March 7: 5 miles @ 6.7 on the treadmill plus cooldown- 5.25 mi, 47:38
March 8: off
March 9: off
March 10: outside. 6.33 miles in 53:28 8:27 average !!!!!
March 11: 30 mins elliptical, weights, then tmill 5 x (0.1@ 5.0, 0.15@ 8.0) for 1.25 total plus cooldown.
March 12: 7.5 miles on tmill, 1:12. 7.25 @ 6.3 then cooldown. Slow and mindless.
March 13: 35 mins elliptical, weights, then tmill 6 x (0.1@ 5.0, 0.15@ 8.0) for 1.5 total plus cooldown.
March 14: 30 minutes on trainer then 2.0 miles treadmill + cooldown. 2.25 total, 22 minutes.
March 15: off!
March 16: tmill, 5 @ 6.9 plus cooldown. 5.25 46:30
March 17: tmill, 5.7 @ 6.4, 0.3 @ 7.0 plus cooldown. 6.25 59:00
March 18: 30 mins elliptical, weights, then tmill 6 x (0.1@ 5.0, 0.2@ 8.0) for 2.0 total plus cooldown.
March 19: tmill 5.0 @ 6.8, 0.1 @ 8.0 plus cooldown. 5.35 total, 47:53
March 20: outside run 43:55, 5.25 miles first 3 @ 8, 2 @ 9 plus 0.25 sprintish (7:41)
March 21: fitness blender HIIT 32 minutes
March 22: off (shins HURT!)
March 23: shins still hurt... 70 minutes on the trainer. 17 miles? who knows.
March 24: shins a little better. tmill, most of 7 miles @ 6.3, plus cooldown. 7.25 in 1:10
March 25: 5.2 @ 6.8 then 0.1 @ 8.0 plus cooldown. 49:35, 5.55 miles
March 26: 11 minutes on bike (my heiny couldn't handle anymore..) then lots of HIIT
March 27: progression- 6.5 on up for 6.25 total, 56:33
March 28: 5.25- 5 @ 6.9 plus cooldown
March 29: off
March 30: 9.5 outside- first 8.1 straight, then 1 run/walk and 0.5 run to finish off.
March 31: off

March Totals: 94.73 miles running: 4 runs outside, 15 inside, 4x trainer, 4x elliptical, no swimming!, HIIT type stuff x 2. 7 days off (seems like a lot!)

If I kept this up (spoiler alert, I haven't been doing so hot in April so far), I'd hit 1001 miles this year. Success! Although this felt like a slightly running heavy month, and I focused on doing longish runs each time I went out, my body only rebelled slightly (2 days of shin splints). I'll try and kick back into high gear in May and hopefully still be on track for my goal... still 9 months left in the year.
