Walk it out

The title is meant to be sung. That terribly catchy song "Walk It Out," which Wikipedia just informed me is by someone named Unk. That is either an abomination of "uncle" or a clever take on unknown. The world may never know.

Yesterday I ran 2 miles on the treadmill @ 3% grade, pretty slow but I picked it up at the end. I know I said I would run outside, but apparently blogging has made me a liar. Oops. Then I decided to cool down and get back to something close to my resting heart rate before doing intervals... and then it took me like 10 minutes to start back up. I got distracted by changing the channel and shaking out muscles and ended up walking like 12 minutes instead of 2 or 3. Silly. Once I got going again, I did 5 intervals, 1 minute walking, one minute running, at 7.0 mph. Giddyup! I felt good. My upper body is sore as can be from the combo of swimming Tuesday and Wii boxing on Wednesday. Don't make fun of me for Wii induced soreness, I punch the crap out of my imaginary opponents so I end up getting a respectable workout.. the consequence is a sore upper back + embarrassing reason why.

Today I will walk with my mom, weather permitting. I always say weather permitting because it seems like this spring has been particularly rainy.

Dinner last night was the Red Robin burger and salad, as planned, plus an egg and V8 beforehand and some rice cakes afterwards. The burger was tasty, it had some sort of mustardy goodness on it, so that made me happy.

And for food today... hold on to your hats, it's gonna be different...
Breakfast: cottage cheese, banana, egg
morning snack: ORANGE, cheese, cereal bar (LAST! CEREAL! BAR! EVER!), and a Cadbury Cream egg. My mother still gives me Easter presents, and apparently this year the Easter bunny is delivering cadbury eggs weekly.
lunch: TBD-I brought peanuts and veggies, but since I'm leaving early I didn't bring real food type food.
Dinner: also TBD... I'm an enigma.

Have a happy weekend! I'm going to the expo for the Cherry Blossom 10-miler, so I'll write about that tomorrow :)
